Technical visit: Corporate farm – 4900 ha of AG land, specialized in new energy. 300 ha from this in BIO quality. 2 large bio gas stations, one produces electricity, one heating for nearby villages. 500 dairy cows – Holstein, 400 beef – Fleckvieh. Arable production: wheat, barley, maize, GPS system. They have the largest field machinery in CZ. Own silos and grain cleaning station.

Travel to Balatonfenyves (200 km, 2 hours and 30 mintues)
Professional program at the Hubertus Agricultural Corporation. Hubertus Company farms 9000 ha area, of which about 2400 ha is being used for plant cultivation, about 2000 ha is grassland and about 2000 ha is forest area. The rest is covered with paths, waste land, canals and moor. They grow here mainly grain maize, maize for silage, wheat and oil crops, rape and sunflower for industrial purposes. Besides crop production, intensive and extensive grazing management has also an important role in Nagyberek, where the company has 400 ha intensive pasture, from where they gather grass three times a year, which means good quality fodder for the livestock raising sectors. The rest of the grassland is used for grazing beef cattle that is held in extensive circumstances. The beef cattle program of the company started at the beginning of the 70s with the American breed “Hereford”. They cross them now with Red Angus breed that results in end-product, which better satisfies all requirements.

In the afternoon free time to enjoy the Lake Balaton Surrounded by vineyards, volcanic mountains, and thermal spa resorts, Lake Balaton is a stunning body of water in western Hungary that attracts sun seekers, foodies, music lovers, and watersports fans from neighboring countries to Central Europe’s largest lake.
In the evening wine tasting with dinner in Kristinus winery in Kéthely (20 kms, 30 minutes) This is the first restaurant in Hungary where the wines take the starring role in the menu: we recommend dishes to go with our wines, not the other way around. Our dishes are prepared using locally-grown seasonal ingredients, served in innovative combinations featuring special flavours, which you can enjoy in a modern, yet homely environment.

Breakfast in the hotel Travel to Siófok (60 km, 1 hour), short sight-seeing tour
Major town at the mouth of the River Sió on the southeast shore of Lake Balaton. With a shoreline of 17 kilometres Siófok is the longest settlement on the Lake, and the one with the livbeliest night-life. Has busiest port on the lake. Hometown of operetta composer Imre (Emmerich) Kalman, with museum at his birthplace and his works staged during Summer seasons. Lively cultural, sports, entertainment events May – October.
Travel to Enying (20 km, 30 minutes)
Visit at the Enyingi Agricultural Corporation
The Enyingi Agricultural Corporation is one of the oldest agricultural enterprises in Hungary. Their acitivity has wide range within the agricultural production. They procuce crops on appr. 5.000 ha. Their main crops are grains (maize, wheat, barley) and forages (maize, alfalfa) for their own livestock, for seed production and also for trading. They are the largest sugarbeet producers in the country, at present. The company also has a large dairy farm of 3,500 cows. The stalls and the parlour has been reconstructed int he last few years. Traditionally they have a horsestud as well. Normally they have 60-64 horses annually.

Travel to Agárd (50 km, 1 hour)
Visit Agárdi distillery, dinner with Pálinka tasting
This small distillery was built in 1967. They produce special Hungarian brandy named pálinka of wild berries like rose hip, blueberry, sorb, hawthorn. The program will include a short introduction to the traditional distilling method, tasting the different brandies produced at the small manufacture

The city’s unique location makes it one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
The hills of Buda and the flat plain of Pest are separated by the sweeping meander of the river which is still blue today on fresh, spring days. Caves, healing thermal springs, nature reserves – and all this in a bustling capital of 2 million people. Among the monuments there is a Roman amphitheatre, genuine Turkish baths, and the special Hungarian variation of Art Nouveau. Many of the capital’s splendours have been awarded UNESCO Heritage status and protection. Participants will be shown a good selection of beautiful sights of this capital, situated on both banks of the river Danube, with a sweeping history that goes back more than 2000 years.
Main attraction in Pest side: Heroes’ Square, the City Park, Castle Vajdahunyad St. Stephen’s Basilica, House of Parliament.
Main attraction in Buda side: Buda is the older, more historic and more scenic part of the capital. The main attraction here is the Castle Hill, with its breathtaking view over the city and its many historic and cultural monuments, such as the 13th century Matthias Church, the Royal Castle or the Fishermen’s Bastion.
In the evening boat tour on the Danube with dinner (private boat)
The Danube river bisects the city into two different parts: the hilly and more peaceful Buda on the right side, and the buzzing Pest on the left. Both river banks offer many sights: right at the start of your Danube cruise the graceful tower of the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion draw your eyes to historic Castle District.
