Agricultural Study Tour to Czech Republic

Day 1

🛬 – Arrival in the Czech Republic.

🚌 – Transfer to the Sasov farm. 126 km (1h 30 min).

🍽 – Lunch in Iglava.

🚜 – Visit Sasov bio farm. The farm was founded on July 29, 1991. Since 1999, the entire farm and its products have been certified as a recognized organic farming company. The farm is a closed unit, as all land and all animals are in organic farming mode.

🚌 – Transfer to the hotel in Brno 70 km (1 h).

Day 2

🚌 – Transfer to the Rostenice farm. 30 km (30 min)

🚜 – Visiting the Rostenice farm. The holding company Rostěnice manages an area of ​​10,000 ha in the cadastres of 24 municipalities. In addition to crop and livestock production, the holding operates two biogas plants with a capacity of 2,200 kW of electricity per hour. The waste heat is used for drying grain and heating the outbuildings in the center and residential areas.

🚜 – Agricultural Research Institute Kroměříž. Meeting with a researcher. Tour of the Institute. Seminar on the topic: “Cultivation of colored wheat and wheat with a modified ear morphotype.” Agricultural Research Institute Kroměříž, sro is a long-term successful association of applied research in the agricultural sector, focused primarily on solving specialized research projects, breeding, testing, providing advice and providing specialized services. The association has its own certified laboratories and experimental fields.

🚜 – Visit to the eco-farm Javornik. Since 1996, a system of organic farming has been carried out with respect for the land, with non-standard conditions for keeping animals. Animal husbandry is very closely related to crop production, with an emphasis on organic milk production and beef cattle breeding without market production. The farm produces milk of the highest quality, some of which is processed in its own mini-dairy plant.

🚌 – Transfer to Salix Morava farm. 70 km (1h)

🚜 –  Visit Salix Morava farm – agricultural company specialized in growing crops and livestock. The company has one of the most modern fleets of agricultural machines, uses the principles of sustainable farming and rational crop rotation, actively introduces innovations in technological processes (no-till system).

🚌 – Transfer to Přerov. 5 km (20 min).

Day 4

🍽 – Breakfast. Check-out. Transfer to the farm Kokory. 7 km (20 min).

🚌 – Visit to the farm Kokory.

🚜 – Farm Kokory – total area of ​​cultivated land is 2100 ha. The main crops of crop production are winter wheat, spring barley, rapeseed, poppy, corn and hops. The livestock cooperative has 400 cows and specializes in the production of milk and meat. The operations of the cooperative are constantly being upgraded.

🚌 – Transfer to Farmet company. 150 km (2 h 30 min)

🚜 – Visiting the Farmet plant with production and farming. Farmet a.s. is engaged in the development, production, sales and service of agricultural machinery for tillage, sowing and equipment for the processing of oilseeds, vegetable oils and feed production. Products and technologies are created in close cooperation between Farmet specialists and end customers, research institutes and universities. Farmet brand products are characterized by their unique technical developments, some of which are protected by patents.

🚌 – Transfer to Hradec Kralove. 30 km. (30 minutes)

🚜 – Visit to the farm Zlunice. The company AGRO ŽLUNICE, a.s. specializes in agricultural services in the Jičina region – fruit growing, plant growing and animal husbandry. As part of crop production, wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet, and barley are grown on 1995.31 hectares of agricultural land. Maize and animal feed crops are also grown. There are also 37.68 hectares of orchards where apples and plums are grown. There are 78 beehives in the gardens, which not only contribute to the development of the environment and the conservation of biodiversity, but also ensure the production of high-quality Czech honey.

🚌 – Transfer to the Bednar factory. 76 km ( 1 h)

🚜 – Visit to the Bednar factory and exhibition area. BEDNAR FMT s.r.o. is a specialist in the production of agricultural machinery for tillage, seeding, inter-row tillage, mulching, fertilization and crop residue management. From the very beginning, they are focused on the development and production of wide-cut machines. However, the extensive portfolio of machines allows them to offer the right processing line for any conditions and areas.
