Agricultural Management Tour to Polish Milk Production

Day 1 | Warsaw ( / / D ) 

— Arrival to Poland.
— Visit the best dairy farm in the region, proud recipient of several awards for breeding on the national and local arena. Farm is one of the best milk producers in the Podlasie Region. Member of Polish Dairy
Cooperative, one of the biggest dairy processors in Europe. The farm is visited by both Polish and foreign milk producers. It has also been honored by several authority figures including the President of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Zenon Grocholewski, Cardinal from the Vatican, and the Minister of Agriculture Stanisław Kalemba. HERD SIZE: 110 heads, MILKING SYSTEM: Automated Milking DeLaval, FARM AREA: 100 ha of land.

— Feel the culture of Poland at authentic Polish restaurant with national cuisine, beverages and folk music. Representative of National Association of Dairy Cooperatives join the dinner and present information about Polish dairy market.

Day 2 | Warsaw (B/L/D ) 

07:00 — Breakfast at the hotel
08:00 — Check out of the hotel and transfer to the grain cooperative.
10:00 — Visit dairy farm with total herd size 200 heads, .MILKING SYSTEM: DeLaval Rotary, FARM AREA: 140 ha,
12:00 — Lunch.
14:00 — Visit typical dairy farm in this part of Poland. The soil is not so fertile, limiting the development of farms. Crops grown in this area are usually only suitable for feeding cattle. The farm currently has 80 heads, of which 43 are dairy cows. MILKING SYSTEM: DeLaval Stanchion, FARM AREA: 40 ha of land,
15:00 — Transfer to another dairy farm with 48 milking cows and total herd size 92 heads. MILKING SYSTEM: DeLaval Stanchion, FARM AREA: 50 ha of land.
16:00 — Return to Warsaw
20:00 — Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 3 | Bialystok (B/L/D ) 

07:00 — Breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 — Check out of the hotel.
08:30 — This is the day for exploring Warsaw. Sightseeing usually takes 3 hours but on request it may be extended. It includes all the best of Warsaw. You will see the Old Town with the Royal Castle and characteristic Sigismund’s Column. Don’t forget to take a picture of mermaid standing on the market square. Armed with a sword and shield is the symbol of Warsaw. Then via Royal Route you will go to the Lazienki Garden, one of the most charming places in the capital. While you are in Warsaw it’s impossible to miss the Palace of Culture, a gift from Stalin to the Polish nation. It’s visible from almost any location in Warsaw and is a good orientation point. Your next stop will be former Jewish Ghetto with a Monument to the Ghetto Heroes and Umschlag Platz. Warsaw is said to be the city of contrasts and one can observe it even during a short trip.

13:00 — Lunch.
16:00 — Visit dairy cooperative — leader in the Polish dairy industry and the most valuable brand in dairy sector. Company currently has 15 productionplants, 29 own distribution centers, including the industry’s first wholesale Cash & Carry, and its own retail network. Production processes (from sourcing of raw materials, through their processing, to distribution and sales) are held in the cooperative by the Integrated Management System: FSSC 22000 (equivalent to BRC and IFS), ISO 9001, ISO 14001.

18.00 — Dinner at the Polish restaurant.
20:00 — Check in the hotel

Day 4 | Warsaw (B// ) 

07:00 — Breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 — Check out of the hotel.
09:00 — Transfer to Warsaw airport.
