This October, InConventus Group organized an exciting study tour for Bulgarian and French nursery producers, centered around one of Europe’s most prestigious horticultural events—the Gardenia Fair Poznań. Participants had the unique opportunity to explore the vibrant world of modern horticulture and nursery production, with an in-depth look at Polish innovation in plant care and landscape design.

Participants of the Gardenia study tour began their experience by visiting the exhibition on October 16th, 2024. Located within the spacious MTP Expo Center, the Gardenia exhibition features a stunning array of plant species, gardening tools, and equipment from top brands worldwide. The event also included educational sessions with industry professionals, where attendees learned about cutting-edge techniques and technologies in plant cultivation.

Insights into Polish Nursery Production

The study tour continued with visits to some of the most respected nurseries in Poland, where participants explored modern nursery production techniques and innovations that have made Poland a leader in the horticulture industry.

Kornik Nurseries,

One of the highlights was a visit to Kórnik Nurseries, one of the oldest nurseries in Poland. Established in 1820, this 40-hectare site is home to over 4,000 species of plants, offering a fascinating blend of historic and modern cultivation practices. From avenue trees to ornamental shrubs, the group explored diverse plant species grown with precision and care. 

The next stop took the group to Ogrody Wrzosowe, a family-owned nursery specializing in conifers, shrubs, and grasses. Here, the producers learned firsthand the secrets of successful plant propagation, climate adaptation strategies, and the importance of selecting hardy, adaptable species for regional conditions.

Exploring High-Quality Gardening Tools and Equipment

Throughout the Gardenia tour Poland, a key focus was on exploring the vast selection of high-quality gardening tools and equipment available at the fair. From innovative fertilizers and soil products to state-of-the-art pest control solutions, attendees discovered products designed to optimize plant health and yield. Brands like Agrecol, Compo, and Substral were showcased, offering participants new tools to implement in their own nursery operations.

One particularly engaging session focused on garden centers in Poznań, where participants visited a garden center in Poznań that had evolved from a small family business into a comprehensive retail hub for gardeners. The center showcased a wide range of plants, from
